  1. A good activity could be one that I saw in my practice at the school that activity was done to teach the abecedary and that activity
consists in a dictation of some letters to form a word for example; CAR, the teacher dicts "ci-ei-ar", that is the spelling of that word,
personally I think that is good way to teach abecedary and the pronunciation of each letter.
In other hand I think that the best approach to teach english could be the LEXICAL APPROACH,that's all

  2. I think that a good thing could be when you explain some topic, could be "the uses of comparatives" but in power point with some examples and then the pupils have to do some exercises. But those one have to be tick in the whiteboard when they did the homework in class. so once they did it, one by one have to participate in a feedback, writing in the whitboard the answers that they have so, the teacher says that the answer is good or not and explain the wrong answer and she says why are wrong and correct them. I think that is a TEACHING PROCESS. for me is a good way and besides is similar that I saw in my professional practice at School.

  3. During my practice with children,I could understand(In my opinion) the best way to teach them. The class has to be more enjoyable (Becouse they like to be in movement) and less stressful.I realized of that in many activities,an example of that was when the teacher explained "Classroom's instructions" with images.First he showed images with people doing actions (Stand up,sit down, raise your hand, etc)and he repeated its meaning orally. The objective is to assimilate the image with its meaning,so after that the teacher didn't use the images and he asked them to reproduce it in a physical response. The approach is "The Total Physical Response" becouse in this method listening and physical responses are more important than oral production. Also the humor is injected into the lessons to make it more enjoyable for learners.
On the other hand, the teacher has an active role, is like the director of a stage play with students as actors.

  4. I agree with You two.......just kidding! :P

Personally, I Think that a good way to learn some contents is doing an activity seen in many tv programs and movies, and I also propose this activity in my practice and the students just loved it.
This activity is called "Show and Tell" where it suposse that the students have to show something personal or directicly related to them and find the way to link it with some of the contents seeing in the moment. I think it would be a very fun activity and could be usefull to know better our classmates.
I hope you like the idea!

  5. I think that a good way to learn something is mixing the contents with a funny game. In my practice one I have seen many different types of this activities, for example:

Content: have got - has got (affirmative, negative and question)
    Game: Guess who?

So, the students make their own cards with different characters and then they ask their classmate
    * has she got long hair?
    - yes, she has / no, she hasn't
    * has she got blue ayes?
    - yes, she has / no, she hasn't
    * has she got a big nose?
    - yes, she has / no, she hasn't

In my personal opinion I thing that this activity is very interesting, because they stimulate their minds and obviously they learn a lot in a funny way.

  6. If we want to talk about strategies about education we first need to know and have very clear what's education about. If you ask me,I think that education is not only teaching something to someone, I believe that is more than that. It's to share something important to someone with thirsty of it.
In my experiencies teaching children I'd learned that every kid is special and that every kid need an special teaching. For example; I teach english to a litle girl who always forget all the things that I'm teaching to her, so I though, what can I do to make this girl to understand the subject and not forget it? and I realized that playing with her was a very good idea, so I told her that now we are going to beging playing with our hands and she say great!, so then I told her ok, always remember this, in the middle of your right hand is the verb HAVE, and in your right hand's fingers are the pronouns I, YOU, THEY AND WE; and in the middle of your left hand is the verb HAS and in your left hand's fingers are the pronouns HE, SHE, IT. I also told her what was the meaning of the verb and that HAVE and HAS mean the same thing but in english you must put it with the pronouns that they belong to. She'd understood it perfectly! and she'd loved it because the next week she showed me her quiz and she'd got a very good grade using the hand play.
I think that not anyone can teach, you need to have passion for it and think that the person who will receive the teaching will have many benefits of it.

  8. A good activity is when the teacher and children have fun, for example: The teacher is learning some kind of vocabulary and he starts to make questions to different students, but not in a regular form, he makes them as Don Francisco in Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? the students have to do the mimicry (tpr method)but the interesting thing in this, the teacher can give them different chances like the fifty-fifty or call to a friend(in the same classroom)what do the students win?, first, they have fun and get vocabulary in a game, you(as a teacher)do not need many things just a good handmade microphone and so much imagination.

  9. The method that I would use in my activity would it be the communicative language teaching. As we know this method is based on creating interaction, including vocabulary and daily expressions. So, the tecnique that I `m going to use for the teaching process will be a role play activity, because it is a good way learners apply the contents seeing in class and it is a spontaneously way to acquire the knowledge.

The activity is based on “prepositions of place and directions”, thus students interact making dialogues. A student is a foreing and the other one has to show him the places in the city, for example. If the foreing (represented by the student) wants going to the musem the other student have to indicate him the correct address.

In this way, they are interacting focusing in speaking and in my opinion this in the best way to acquire the target language.

  10. I think that this method is good for the children The Audio-Lingual Method, is a style of teaching used in teaching foreign languages. It is based on behaviorist theory, which professes that certain traits of living things, and in this case humans, could be trained through a system of reinforcement—correct use of a trait would receive positive feedback while incorrect use of that trait would receive negative feedback.
This approach to language learning was similar to another, earlier method called the Direct method. Like the Direct Method, the Audio-Lingual Method advised that students be taught a language directly, without using the students' native language to explain new words or grammar in the target language. However, unlike the Direct Method, the Audiolingual Method didn’t focus on teaching vocabulary. Rather, the teacher drilled students in the use of grammar. The students and teacher have confortable in their clasroom.

  12. I think there are many good ideas to teaching a content of English, but I think too that there are methods which we have to choice at the moment to teach something.
I was reading about some teaching ideas and lesson plans and specially I liked one its name is “THE WORD OF THE WEEK” it has to do with Choose a praise phrase for the week or a new, fun vocabulary word for your students to use during the week. Challenge your students to see how many times they can use that phrase or word throughout the week. I love that teaching idea because I think it is very well method to incorporate new vocabulary in the students and in this way practice the language too.

    It was my humble opinion!

  13. I think that always the plan lesson depend on the students that you have, because they express all the time what are thinking and feeling.

The activity that I would like to do in a class is to play with the students to the "bachillerato", because is useful to practice vocabulary and writing. The idea is that the teacher (me) give them a letter, thinking in the vocabulary seen in class, and then they star to fill in the chart, the student that finish first win and receive a point.
I think that play is useful for relaxing and in this way learn.

I like this game, even if somebody hate it.

  14. I consider that when a teacher of English is going to explain a structure of grammar (whatever grammatical rule) must be conscious about the context of student, I mean if they have a previous knowledge, the quantity of students and the environment in which they live, because there are many methods about how to teacher of a better way a second language so depends of us as teacher that this approaches have good results.
Skinner’s theories the most older method didn’t pay attention to cognitive process that exist in our minds as humans beings far from it affective aspects that needs our students so if I develop an interactive activities in my classroom, “ questions and answer about personal information between students” my purpose as teacher is to create the capacity to realize about their mistakes ;SELF-MONITORING (Krasner’s theory) because of that way everyone can participate, everyone are part of process of learning felling more comfortable to express their knowledge.

  17. Let me share with you a very interesting experience that I saw in my practice.

The English teacher wanted to teach a pre kinder (3-4 years children)course "The colors". He dressed up as a clown , with a colorful costume and teached them the colors with a song following the stimulus with the colors of their clothes.

Small boys and girls were very entertaining and me too. I`ve never seen that an English teacher did something like that. This is a good idea to imitate.

  18. First of all in class, students have to make groups of 4 or 5. They have to choose one song (any kind of song). During class and after class they have to work in the song, the work is very easy, choose the song, in english of course, then translate it, and make a report about why they chose that song. After that, they have to show the work in front of the class, doing something attractive about the sense of the song and explaining the choose that they did. The sense of this activity is, acquire vocabulary, because of the big quantity of words that a song has, and learn how those words are pronounced, and finally improve the grammar. These are the main points of this activity.

I'm waiting to do something like this, I think that it would be a great idea and something very fun for kids.

  20. It is very important for teachers to look for a good way or methodology
to teach english. Nowdays, the students are restless, especially younger children.
For that, you have to be constantly creating situations that arouse and enthusiasm your students.
First of all, the class would begin with a brief overview of what we saw in the last class, and to introduce the new unit, would questions about the ideas that they have about the topic, leading educational materials, which they like to learn.

The activities will be planned for a class to another so that students, have to bring the materials that they need for the class. Then meet in groups of three and finally the students will talk in front of their classmates

  21. For me, the activities have to be didactic, not only answering a guide or memorizing words from a paper.
i always have been thinking in games to teach new units, puzzles, mimics games, songs, movies and cartoons, flash cards and that type of things.
next monday, in my practice class i'm goin to applie flash cards to the activity, the teacher is teaching them "simple present" and to help the students i'm going to show them some pictures and they have to formulate sentenses in relation to the picture based on simple present, appling the rules of the third person and that type of things.
Also, with the same flash cards the students will have to create short dialogs using prepositions, places of the cities and present simple of course, the flash cards allow you teach vocabulary without using a list of that, because with the images is easier teach vocabulary, is more didactic and fun too.

  22. In my case is another experience in my practice, the topic was the " Food and Drinks", the students are not so interested to study, so the Teacher didn't know how she can explain this topic, and finally she decided that the student had to investigate in the internet, and they had to look for pictures and different kinds of foods and drinks, and then the evaluation was, they had to do a file. The students were interesting in this class, so I think that is a good idea to teach something. The students have a interactive class, they can ask if they have doubts, they have a nice a interesting moment.
